Practice honest conversations in personal relationships
The hardest conversations are often with the people closest to you, because the stakes are 'this relationship'. That's exactly why you don't want to wing them.
TalkCraft gives you private reps for boundaries, repair, and honest asks — without a counsellor, a friend, or an awkward role-play session.
Conversations this covers
- Asking a partner for something that's been bothering you
- Saying no to a family member without a guilt spiral
- Naming a friend's pattern without ending the friendship
- Talking to a roommate about mess, money, or noise
- Re-opening a conversation that didn't land the first time
- Apologising without over-explaining or self-flagellating
What the app actually does
- Personal Relationships & Boundaries course: scenarios grounded in home life.
- Choices span direct, soft, avoidant, and over-apologetic styles — with coach notes.
- Short sessions so you're not turning relationships into homework.
- Fully offline. Nothing about your personal life goes to a server.
Why 'speak honestly' is bad advice without reps
'Just be honest' assumes you have the words ready. Most people don't. The reps matter most here because the emotional load is highest — you can't afford to improvise, and you can't rehearse with the other person.
The three mistakes that turn a good intention into a fight
Bundling — 'and another thing, and another thing' — which buries the one thing you actually came to say. Vague global claims like 'you always…' or 'you never…', which turn a specific moment into a character trial. And apologising pre-emptively for having a need at all, so the other person has to reassure you before they've even heard the ask. The drills train one moment at a time, specific and ungarbled.
Scripts you'll actually use
Asking for something: 'Something's been on my mind and I want to say it properly. Can we talk for ten minutes after dinner?' Saying no to family: 'I love you, and I'm not doing this one. I can do X instead if that helps.' Repair: 'I reacted badly yesterday. I've thought about why. Here's what I want to do differently.' Short, clean, no paragraph of disclaimers.
